An evening with friends...
|
|
Last week we invited our close friends mostly from Sultanah Asma, SDAR and MMU to our house. Just a simple makan-makan session. We served all home cook meals for all our guest, except for Sate. it was cooked in Haji Samuri's kitchen.
We had Nasik Lemak with 2 choice of sambal - Sambal Petai & Sambal Kosong, Ayam Goreng and Udang Goreng. We also serve spaghetti with also 2 choice of souse - Bolognese and Carbonara. Life is all about choice kan... And not forgetting Soto.
I woke up at 6am terpacak. Thank God I had a good night sleep despite of all nerves-ness. Lucky me I had strong Support Group - Abah, Mak and Hasna. Bags in charge of arrangement of furniture, vacuum, mengelap habok, and all that jazz lah. At almost 3.30pm all dishes are ready to be served.
The first guest arrived at 4.30pm and the last one went back at almost midnight.
Although it was a very very tiring day, but we had so much fun. Meeting old friends (and old flames? ah ah ah), having good laughs, camera whoring and all.
Thank you for all who came and to those who helped us through out the day - Abah, Mak, Hasna, Babed, Ermie, I Love You Guys BiG TiME!

This has always been my fav. flower. Always always always, but demn expensive!
Almost ready.
I dunno what have got into me that night, but I feel like making Bunga Rampai. I've always love the smell of pandan leaves sweet scent, and with sprinkle of Wild Pacholy fragrance - my grandmother's favourite. It will always remind me of her everytime I smell this. And of coz, Bunga Rampai will make the house smell very weddingy. Love it!

I decided to put Banana Leaves on top of the plate, baru feel Nasik Lemak.
Surprisingly, I enjoy every minute of doing this. No complain.
THE Check List. I need to have this, coz this is my first time to cook in such a big scale.

I have problem on frying Begedil that day, I suspected it is becoz of the the minced meat. A bit too much.
So the solution is, we baked it! And it turned out to be so yummy and healthy too!
