Bukit Tinggi

This would be my second time to Bukit Tinggi.
First I think back in 2002. Aku n Babed ikut Mimi n Sipa dating kat sana. ihihihihi.
It was an unplanned vacation, tetiba Bags ckp via chat kul 10 pagi:
razifrazak:Dem. I kena p Bukit Tinggi.
sheyna:Awat dem? I ikut ja lah...
razifrazak: U nak ikut? jap I plan.
So ptg tu jugak at 4pm (aku amik EL half day) bergeraklah kami bertiga beranak ke Bukit Tinggi for a 3 days 2 nights vacation...
sudah sampai ke Colmar Tropicale. We stayed at 1 bedroom apartment.
Irfan tgh amik mood, suka betul dia dengan fountain.
our room at block apa aku tak ingat. Nama2 block dia semua nama bunga. a very nice room, cukup luas.
Irfan's fav. place at Colmar, the Indoor Playground.
jalan2 before pegi dinner.
next day, woke up early for bfast. nih tengah tunggu dok mandi.
then off to Japanese Tea Garden, dapat complimentary tixs untuk hotel guests.

Irfan dah mula teruja tgk ikan2 koi besaq.
breathtaking view....I really like the landscape they've done to this place.

Tengah menyiapkan anak teruna pakai kimono. Irfan rela ja minah tu dok pekesah dia.

and the rest is pixs on the last day at Bukit Tinggi. It was indeed a very relaxing holiday..........

An evening with friends...
|

Last week we invited our close friends mostly from Sultanah Asma, SDAR and MMU to our house. Just a simple makan-makan session. We served all home cook meals for all our guest, except for Sate. it was cooked in Haji Samuri's kitchen.
We had Nasik Lemak with 2 choice of sambal - Sambal Petai & Sambal Kosong, Ayam Goreng and Udang Goreng. We also serve spaghetti with also 2 choice of souse - Bolognese and Carbonara. Life is all about choice kan... And not forgetting Soto.
I woke up at 6am terpacak. Thank God I had a good night sleep despite of all nerves-ness. Lucky me I had strong Support Group - Abah, Mak and Hasna. Bags in charge of arrangement of furniture, vacuum, mengelap habok, and all that jazz lah. At almost 3.30pm all dishes are ready to be served.
The first guest arrived at 4.30pm and the last one went back at almost midnight.
Although it was a very very tiring day, but we had so much fun. Meeting old friends (and old flames? ah ah ah), having good laughs, camera whoring and all.
Thank you for all who came and to those who helped us through out the day - Abah, Mak, Hasna, Babed, Ermie, I Love You Guys BiG TiME!

This has always been my fav. flower. Always always always, but demn expensive!
Almost ready.
I dunno what have got into me that night, but I feel like making Bunga Rampai. I've always love the smell of pandan leaves sweet scent, and with sprinkle of Wild Pacholy fragrance - my grandmother's favourite. It will always remind me of her everytime I smell this. And of coz, Bunga Rampai will make the house smell very weddingy. Love it!
Bunga Rampai the Malay version of potpourri.
I decided to put Banana Leaves on top of the plate, baru feel Nasik Lemak.
Surprisingly, I enjoy every minute of doing this. No complain.
THE Check List. I need to have this, coz this is my first time to cook in such a big scale.

I have problem on frying Begedil that day, I suspected it is becoz of the the minced meat. A bit too much.
So the solution is, we baked it! And it turned out to be so yummy and healthy too!
Without Hasna, aku rasa pukul 5pm baru boley makan 
Abah showing his cooking skill. I used to remember the ol days when he used to cook Nasik Tomato for kenduri kendara. Terbaek.

Jalan Jalan Bulan Puasa

Wahhh..dah lama tak buat entry-entry yg sebegini rupa.
Entry jalan2 kat shopping mall, makan2, snap2 gambaq sana sini. Best pulak...
So we went to MidVal dengan pasang angan2 nak beli baju tidur raya Irfan (Yes, mummy nih mmg over, baju tidur raya pun kena ada) Dah merata rata carik, Sunway Pyramid, SACC Mall..semua takde yg bekenan. Semuanya long sleeves. Eh, sejuk sgt ke Malaysia ni sampai tade langsung baju tido short sleeves.
Tu lah sampai kena buat trip p MidVal nak beli baju tidur raya.
Letih mummy tawaf dari Jusco, ke Metrojaya, pastu siap nak beli Osh Kosh ke MotherCare ke Gap kalau dah susah sgt nak jumpa...Memang enggak ada yee..pelik betul lah. baju tidu tangan pendek pun susah nak buat ke? Hari tuh ada je kat Anakku, sekarang tade langsung! Pelik pelik...
So terlanjur di sana kami berbuka lah sekali kat sana. Sebab malas nak kecoh2 ngan org berbuka puasa kat kedai, we decided to have a bite kat Saint Cinnamon dulu, pegi solat then baru makan.
Memula Bags nak makan Manhattan Fish, tapi mummy tade mood la nak ber-seafood.
So we went to Nandos. Tu lah kami, Balik2 Manhattan, Nandos, tak Nandos, Manhattan. Kalau rasa kaya sket, pegi Chilis..tu je lah. Tak reti makan lain dah.
Ok lah, sampai sini saja entry kali ini. Bertemu lagi di lain waktu....

was held at Jemari Cafe, Dataran Glomac, KJ.
will go there again for its Bihun Goreng Omelette (and 'abang' Lan ..and of course aTikah laaa)
it was good to see everyone again, eventhough not all turn up. but its ok.
Anis, just enjoy your next 8 weeks ok? Amir, selamat menjadi Papa.
